Testimonials

As a result of a car accident our daughter received a closed-head injury. As part of her therapy we used Vision Therapy to help her regain her eye muscle strength to help her with visual scanning. We were very pleased with the speed of recovery.

Jeffrey's Success!

Jeffrey has always appeared to be a bright boy, very insightful and inquisitive, but we couldn't understand why he always felt he was "stupid" or "dumb" and why reading was difficult for him. We began with the regular vision test and everything was fine. We tried counseling with no change and we even had him tested for a learning disability, which turned out to be nonexistent. Teachers even suggested Ritalin. Needless to say we were all becoming very frustrated. Jeffrey's self-esteem was at an all time low. He was disinterested in doing any free reading or reading at all. After talking with Dr. Habermehl about Optic Therapy, we were eager to go through the evaluation process to determine any perceptual difficulties and in hopes of finding some answers. Find answers we did - WOW! What a shock and relief at the same time. Yes, Jeffrey was experiencing some perceptual difficulties and we began therapy that week. Since Optic Therapy, Jeffrey has done a complete about face. He is eager to read. He feels so good about himself and so proud of himself. His teachers had noted how he sits up in class and listens to instructions, how outgoing his is and how great he feels about himself. We have all noticed the dramatic change in Jeffrey. He's a completely different boy. Optic Therapy has been the best move we've made. To see our son smiling, loving himself and enjoying school and reading is all worth it.
